Maccaferri G 40 from 1955 with original case

Neck goes all through the body, and the angle can be adjusted there with a screw under the tailpiece.
Sounds exactly as one would expect, a Maccaferri made of plastic. Less volume, less bass, but still with the distinctive maccaferri sound.

The neck has a slight bow, see the pictures, but all the notes are coming through nicely, no dead spots, no fret noises. Plays easy.
Medium thin manouche strings in the moment. Don't know how the neck would deal with thick jazz strings,  but the guitar is meant for thinner strings anyway, because that kind of fast tremolo is a distinctive part of the django sound. jazz strings wouldn't do that.
the action could be lowered a bit by filing down the bridge notches, but i kept it as it was, so not to change the original condition of the parts. it's a matter of taste too. (the moveable middle part has been properly adjusted for intonation)
The guitar shines like a new one, not a scratch on it, almost flawless looks.
Comes in the original 1955 case!
