Maxwell Cymbal Topper - 8mm

Have you ever gone into a school, shop or studio and seen cymbal stand after stand missing its wing nut? Where do these things go? This is a constant problem for all of us percussionists and there are very few real solutions. Now the answer is here!!

Introducing the new Maxwell cymbal topper! Made here in America, these little guys will screw on to the top of your cymbal stand and then the cymbal will slip over it leaving you without the bother of worrying about losing those pesky wing nuts anymore.

These are perfect for individuals at home, gigging players, drum shops, schools and studios. The thread goes deep enough to accommodate most stands with the stock sleeve or plastic cymbal base. If you end up with a small space between the top of the base and the end of the toppers, a few plastic washers available at any hardware store placed under the base will eliminate the space without any rattling, but this step is not essential just cosmetic.

There are three different sizes, so make sure you know what your stand is before purchasing:

-          6 mm: This is the smaller modern size, used on the Canopus ultra-light cymbal stand for example.

-          ¼ 20: Here we have the pre metric size used on all vintage American cymbal stands from the seventies                 and earlier.

-          8 mm: And the most common modern size is also available. Most stands use this size.

Here we have the 8mm version that will fit all modern standard size stands. Examples of these are DW, Pearl, and Gretsch stands.
