Scott Walker "Special" Guitar - 2011 - walnut & mahogany

This Walker Special was custom built for me thru 2010 and was finished and delivered in January of 2011. The top wood is burled walnut, and the body and neck wood is mahogany. Fretboard is cocobolo. Headstock face is ebony.

The electronics include a hand-built discrete 9v powered jfet buffer that I made here at Sarno Music Solutions for this guitar. It is wired for a Jerry Garcia style OBEL (on board effects loop) system, but can easily be operated as a normal guitar using the lower jack. There is a pre-buffer volume control and a master volume control. The buffer can be bypassed with one of the toggle switches for fully passive operation. The other small toggle is to engage/disengage the OBEL loop. The tone capacitor is a Zoso blue film & foil type.

I've had a few different humbuckers in this guitar, and currently it's loaded with a a pair of (nothing fancy) GFS PAF style humbuckers. They are clean and chimey and really sound good. And it's easy to exchange pickups and install your favorite humbuckers.

It includes the custom Walker guitar case as well. I'm the only owner, and this guitar has never been exposed to cigarette smoke. It's been well cared for and kept in a good climate controlled space all its life.

The ONLY reason I'm parting with this gem is because I'm finding that I'm a Fender scale length guy and can't get used to the Gibson scale length.

It weighs 7.5 lbs.

I've included some close-up shots of a couple of minor blemishes. But mostly as you'll see it's in excellent condition. It plays great, sounds great, feels great, and looks great.
