About This Listing

1988 Gibson SG Custom, Showcase Edition, beautiful guitar in very good condition and all original as far as I can tell. The ebony board is incredibly dark and smooth, no fingernail  pitting or cracks. The neck and body are mahogany, the guitar weighs 7.6 lbs. The reflector knobs are in beautiful condition as is the rest of the hardware. The points of the horns are clean and the top of the headstock is also quite nice. There is some scratching on the pickguard. The battery for the EMGs (which mounts under the pickguard) is new. All electronics work as they should. The pots are clean. The frets have very, very light wear and that is being very picky. There are a few indentations (pictured) and a small chip on the side of the headstock, please see pictures. The EMG logos do show wear. The binding has begun to yellow and  there are small slits on sides (not uncommon for older guitars with binding). Protector case with badge, although the badge is not attached. All latches work and the case has no stains or odors.
