Here is your chance to own a Made in the USA early 90's Super Strat !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Built by hand in Chicago, by the Washburn custom shop, this guitar's construction was personally overseen by Grover Jackson himself.
These guitars sold new for $999.00. That's $1791 in 2018 dollars.
These were hand made in America by the best guitar builders of the 1990s and it plays like it!!! No fret buzz, straight neck, no scratchy pots!
It feels great and sounds awesome!!! 100% functional and plays like a 90s shredder.
As you may notice, it has a import neck plate with a different serial number stamped on it. NO, this is no "frankenstrat", that is the way Washburn did it in 1992 because they did not have the flying eagle neck plates shipped in yet. This is the 46th custom shop guitar ever made! If you don't believe me, research it. I did because I too was skeptical, but these are the facts. The real serial number is stamped on the back of the headstock and is clearly visible.
Why so cheap???
It is missing a few things...
Torsion rod cover is missing.
Cover plate on rear is missing.
Trem arm is missing.
Locking nut hardware is missing. No case included.
Even though they sound fantastic, I'm 99% sure it doesn't have the original pickup or humbuckers. The good news is, the original style of humbuckers are inexpensive and available from Seymour Duncan.
AND, the prior owner refinished the body. It also has some dings and dents in the body that is just cosmetic.
Come on, this is what people charge for a used mass produced Chinese made guitar.
At this price, you really cant lose on an American made Super Strat!!!!!!
Warning: I am going to be restoring this guitar in August if it not sold by then. When restored, I will list it for fair market value. The last "excellent" condition 1992 MG94 sold for more than $500 on Reverb recently. Expect a similar listing and sale price.
