Vintage Alvarez Artist Series 5088C Acoustic Electric 1993

Haven't found another like it! Vintage Alvarez Artist 5088C Acoustic Electric serial no. 53249, from St. Louis Music Co., St. Louis MO. Purchased from original owner, a professional musician. Comes with original case paperwork and key. The guitar is in beautiful condition, spending most of its life in the case, with the action that of an electric guitar. The neck is fast and the sound is incredible plugged in or not. This guitar can be compared to the Alvarez/Yairi period because of it's age, curing, and craftsmanship. The Spruce top has just gotten darker and better with age as has the sound. It has Mahogany back, neck and sides with Rosewood bridge, and fret board, which has turned as dark as Ebony with age. Abalone inlays on headstock and neck. Binding is perfect on body and neck. The on-board electronics are the Alvarez System 500 with volume, tone and equalizer, powered by 9V battery. It is equipped with chrome Schaller style tuners, and tortoise pick guard. It currently has brass bridge pins installed for added resonance. Has the original Heavy Duty Alvarez case, which has a classy plush blue interior, as well as rugged blue and tan exterior.
