The L5000 was an epic 5 string bass with a standard 4 string small neck. To withstand the forces of 5 strings, no extra trussrods or carbon fiber constructions were placed but special wood was selected that was sawn in a specific way to obtain maximum strength. Craftsmanship by masters of the first hour. Only 400 of these L5000's were made. This neck has serial 396 dated 6 march 1991. Just a fews days before Leo Fender died...
