A pedal designed to recreate the legendary Octavio sounds made famous by Jimi Hendrix, the British Octah preserves the original circuit, perfectly bringing to life everything that made the classic what is was: The subtle nuances of the fuzz/octave combination, the full-bodied tonal output, and superb response with one’s volume knob. Each British Octah features a handwound transformer to form the core tone of the unit, with all component values are rigorously tested to create an optimized octave/fuzz effect. In addition to the true bypass nature of the pedal, an LED is added to the original circuit design to indicate when the effect is engaged, and with the detailed wiring fit into a small enclosure you get all the vibe and power of the classic Octavio pedal in a tidy package. With a high impedance input design, it is strongly recommended that low impedance signals do not precede the pedal (buffered bypass pedals or active pickups, etc.).
