About This Listing

This is one AMAZING sounding mandolin!  Everyone around the shop and our mandolin instructors all have said, "WOW" (or a form of that) when they first started playing it.  This mandolin is loud has great tone and surprisingly.  It is nice and light and has a great feeling neck and great action.

You'll see in the photos that there is added binding on both sides. We are unsure as to why they were added (sanding in that area affected the finish a little) and don't believe that the neck has been reset.   There is also one small piece of wood missing around the 12th fret on the fret board (see photo), which doesn't affect play in any way.  The Lyon and Healy tailpiece is original, however, it is missing the cover.  This mandolin never had a pickguard installed.   There is one 3 inch scratch on the back.

Overall, it is in very good used condition and comes with a hard shell case, which we believe is original.  You will love the way this mandolin sounds and plays!  It's great!

  • Solid spruce top
  • Solid maple back and sides
  • Ebony fretboard
  • Ebony bridge
  • Deco headstock
  • Hard shell case (likely original)
