This little solid body guitar was made in the sixties in Japan, almost certainly in the Zenon factory. It looks like many Zenon guitars with the same shape, the same scratchplate and the same goldfoil pickups. It is badged ''Futurama'' from new and on the back of the headstock are the letters ''C and W'' (see last photo), and this stands for ''Country and Western'' which makes this little guitar quite a rareity.
Finished inred with silvery coloured scratchplate (which has three small pieces missing) - there are two chromed goldfoils each with an on/off rocker switch and a volume control; plus there is an overall tone control. Two of the knobs have the silver volume/tone tops missing. The bridge is in cream hard plastic and the tailpiece still has its chrome cover.
The bound neck is bolted on and the neckplate is stamped ''Japan'', and the fretboard has 20 frets. The headstock has the six on a side tuners with one replaced stem, and the ''Futurama'' logo and ''C and W'' all in gold lettering.
It plays well and is a very nice and unusual little guitar.
