About This Listing

nstruments previously built in Japan between the early 1970s and late 1980s. Distributed by Guild.
The Madeira line was first imported in to augment Guild sales in the U.S. between 1973 and 1974. Between the early 1970s and late 1980s, Guild consistently imported acoustic guitars to serve as a budget line for Guild. When Guild was sold to the Faas Corporation in 1988, they discontinued the Madeira line to focus on Guild production. A few electric guitar lines were offered under the Madira line as well. Source: Michael Wright, Vintage Guitar Magazine. This is a nice old guitar from the 70's . Still plays and sounds good. A few light scratches and nicks like you would expect from a guitar that has been played. Good action and no bridge lifting or damage. There is some light blushing in the finish on the treble side up by the shoulder. I don't have a case but will packed well for shipping.
