Hi there,
Here we have a rare gem to grab today! It's rare enough to come by a Yamaha solid-body electric from this era, but the SB-70 were an extremely limited production.
The top has an awesome German carving with binding (which is making the guitar even more rare), which follows the body contours. The high-gloss, original Tobacco burst finish is in excellent condition, except for a few small blemishes. The humbuckers fill the entire room with the warmest tone I've ever heard from a Japanese bass guitar. The neck pickup, in combination with incredibly responsive volume and tone controls give this old beauty a near-limitless amount of possible sounds. It is an absolute pleasure to play and is, no exaggeration, one of the best sounding bass guitars I've ever had.
The guitar is in very good overall condition for its years, only a few steps away to be called excellent. It's absolutely all-original, missing only a bridge and pickup metal cover. Frets have a real good resource. Everything works the way it has to. The guitar is coming with original hardshell case, truss rod key and tuning manual (still sealed!)
• 2 humbucking pickups
• 1 3/4" nut width
• 32" scale length
• Fully-adjustable bridge
• Awesome Brazilian rosewood fretboard
• Factory Van Ghent style tuning keys
Don't miss out! WE DO SHIP INTERNATIONALLY! Please, review the photos closely for condition, and feel free to ask any questions BEFORE you make an offer or buy it. This guitar is 45 years old and sells as-is. You may need to do slight further setup on the guitar to get it to match your preferences, but now it's set up perfectly for me. Thank you for watching. Have a good luck and rock on!
