Nik Huber Junior with Korina body and neck in excellent condition. Plastic still on the pick guard. It has fast attack and tons of sustain, this is thunder on the mountain. It is classic Huber. The early Juniors were hand built by Nik's hands alone. This is Huber #973 just under the coveted 1,000 mark which insures it's value and collectability. The first photos were taken on the day I received the guitar in 2008 or 2009. The final two I took on 3-28-21. It has yellowed some. This is classic Huber. The guitar has not been played and has lived in its case since it arrived. Full Disclosure: There is blemish in the neck finish. Otherwise the guitar is dead mint and unplayed. Looks like a collection of tiny bubbles in the nitro finish. They run along the bottom of the neck (3rd-9th frets). You can only see it in the right light. I have included a magnified picture of it. My local guitar shop which is incredible said this can probably be buffed out but I will leave that decision to the next owner. All lacquer guitars over 10 years old exhibit some anomalies. There is nothing structural or otherwise wrong with the guitar. This is just a lacquer aging sort of deal that occurred naturally while the guitar rested in its case undisturbed for 13 years. It obviously does not affect the tone but you can feel that it is not silky smooth like the finish on the top of the neck.
It’s the last Huber I have left and I held on to this one for a reason. Trust me you will be receiving and incredible instrument with the best tone woods available and Huber quality.
