About This Listing

1960's Guild Mark VII Classical

Spruce top with premium 250 year old Brazilian Rosewood back/sides.  All original.  Small area of top wear under the soundhole with what looks to be very thin finish touch up.  Hairline center seam crack that is clean and closed.  Original case.

Only ten of these were made by legendary Carlo Greco who designed the classical guitars for Guild in the 1960's.  Guild sold these for $800 in the 1960's.  This is a professional level classical with Ramirez 1A bracing, tapered fretboard and premium materials.  It is the loudest, clearest and nicest sounding classical I have ever played or heard and it only sounds better the more aggressively you play it.  There is no ceiling to its tone.  26.44" scale with 2 1/16" nut and 5/64" action at the 12th fret.
