"Double the Pleasure"
With an overly stout and painstakingly developed power supply made to accommodate two sets of power tubes, the JRT 9/15 became one of the popular amplifiers offered by Divided by 13, and for good reason, IT SOUNDS HUGE. Keeping with that style of power supply we were ask by many to develop a 30 watt 4xEL84 version of this amplifier, to offer more available clean headroom, and, to top it off, install a very effective master volume, the end result is the biggest sounding 30 watt EL84 available today with almost unlimited tonal capabilities !!
Starting from right to left, the single input of the amplifier (high and low sensitivity) feeds the inputs of two 5879 pentodes, each with its own volume control and blendable. Each is voiced differently: one is brighter with more clean headroom (V1), while the other (V2) is gainier and thicker in the low mids. Added to this volume is a 6 position switch which offers a "bright cap" selection. The next knob is a high cut for the overall amplifier, and last a very practical master volume.
Definitely NOT your typical 30 watt EL84 amplifier !!
