Up for your consideration is my BE-100. I bought this amp for use in a studio project 8 or
9 months ago but had a hard time getting the right sound for a
particular set. I sent the amp directly to David Friedman and he
personally installed a "Gain Structure" switch for the BE and HBE modes. With
this mod, you pretty much get two amps in one, because you have the
ability to bypass the first one or two preamp stages. When you engage
the switch in mode one, the first preamp tube is bypassed and when
engaged in mode two, the first two stages are bypassed. By lowering the
output, this mod essentially gives you the the Smallbox 50 and Brown-Eye
100 in the same box. I've found it very useful as it lends additional
flexibility to the amp. This is one of the finest examples of a
quality boutique style modded Marshall you can buy.
Everything works perfectly and all is in mint condition.
