GEORGE GORODNITSKI

THE MASTER LUTHIER.

VERY RARE

NOTE:  I have lowered the price on this unusual and well built custom handmade guitar simply because of the way the neck joint looks.  It is structurally sound but is not cosmetically pleasing.

TRADES CONSIDERED.

Please check my other listings for more great guitars from my personal collection.  I am not a dealer.

ABOUT THE INSTRUMENT:

STUNNING.  AMAZING. BEAUTIFUL.

IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO CAPTURE THE TRUE COLOR OF THIS GUITAR DUE TO THE BRILLIANCE OF ITS FINISH.  THE WOOD GRAIN IS BEAUTIFUL AND FULLY MATCHED.

This is another one of the INCREDIBLE HANDMADE PROFESSIONAL GUITARS from my collection.  As I have said before, I am always on the hunt for the PERFECT GUITAR and I always find it.  But there are always more than one.  THIS IS ANOTHER ONE.

It was handmade IN 1998 by GEORGE GORDODITSKI, who many consider to be the greatest guitar builder in the world.  This what other owners of his guitars have said:

“…he is an uncompromising luthier…George truly is a master…”

“If you are a connoisseur of fine guitars you will immediately realize that George’s instruments are in a class of masterpieces associated with names like James D’Aquisto, John D’Angelico, Robert Benedetto and John Monteleone.”

“His designs are absolutely stunning.”

“Buying a handmade guitar usually involves buying a little bit of the builder as well.  There’s no factory to stand behind a product, only the builder, his name and reputation and George definitely cares about his name….”

“George’s guitars surely must be made with a touch of divine inspiration…and they are made so well that they will definitely outlive him.”

“George is definitely the one of the most talented and creative luthiers in the world.”

“If you EVER have the chance to own a Gordonitski, DO IT.

“I currenly own about 45 guitars and have been collecting for about the last 15 years and TRUST ME, Gorodriskti guitars are hands the absolute best I’ve ever had the privilege to play, In my opinion these guitars are hands down the absolute best I’ve ever had the privilege to play..  In my opinion these guitars should be selling in the 10k-15k range without batting an eye.  Once again-perfect, perfect, perfect!!!”

It is impossible to show the BEAUTY OF THIS GUITAR IN PHOTOGRAPHS.  And its sound is SUPERB.

I have never seen another one of these guitars. I strongly dislike the term “BOUTIQUE” guitar but maybe it applies here.  This is an EXCLUSIVE GUITAR.  Its strong design style, electronic power, tone creation, top of line materials, and expert craftsmanship do make it EXLCUSIVE.

BRIDGE/TAILPIECE:  GOLD.

TUNERS:  Sperzel Locking.

PICKUPS: (2) HUMBUCKERS.

CASE:  NOT ORIGINAL.

OVERALL CONDITION: I would rate this guitar as being in VERY GOOD COSMETIC CONDITION.  My hesitation comes from two issues.  The first is that the neck has a “twist” in it which you can see but you can’t feel.  A real mystery to me and all of my friends (many of whom are guitar builders).  It plays smoothly and easily without any fret buzz etc. We figure this is just another bid of George’s magic.  Also, there is some cosmetic strangeness going on at the neck area near where it joins the body.  I was going to have it touched up but decided not to since it was not critical to the playing of the guitar.  If it doesn’t sell quickly on ebay, I will go ahead and have the touchup work done and add it to the price.

SOUND:  It is a guitar light on weight but heavy on tone and resonance.  Comments from those who have played it:  “Creamy”, “Loud”, “Rich”, “Creamy”, etc.
