Super find! Ultra Clean 79' Hiwatt Hylight-Reeves era 1x12 amp.
The serial is a 5 digit number, beginning with 130.
According to MHuss website, the amp is one of the first built in 1979.
This amp came from the original owner (no proof).
Home use only. The insides are pristine, handwired perfection, found only in early Hiwatt. Only modification is adjustable bias pot, from factory fixed bias, which is a welcomed feature.
Transformers are mint Partridge units, original to amp, with no rust on leaves of the core. No chance of eddy currents robbing power from this amp!!
Sought After ARS labeled, Siemens EL34 tubes installed, with 12ax7 preamp tubes.
Loaded with a Celestion 100w speaker.
