Without a doubt more pro players chose Ovation guitars as their primary acoustic electric than any other brand from the 70s-80s.
They were rugged, versatile and the pickups works great!
This is a special model, the 20th anniversary (1966-1986) Collectors Edition 1986.
It has features of both the Custom Legend and the Nicer Balladeer! It has the abalone soundhole surround, Solid spruce top, Gloss Painted Neck with Custom Abalone Inlay and even the bowl has a slight multi color sparkle to it.
This guitar is setup nice and plays great. It is the shallow bowl, and the original Molded plastic case is included. (Black exterior, baby blue interior)
Im not sure if the color was originally the ivory that it is now, or if 30 years of age has added a mild patina to it, but it looks great either way!
We just put a fresh set of Dunlop Strings on it and she is ready to gig!
