Here is a a very very cool and exceedingly RARE 1967 or 68 (only years these were made) Danelectro Coral Longhorn vintage guitar, s/n 934116. The Coral line was Danelectro's attempt at an upscale model line, and were only made a few years prior to the NJ factory closing. Most like this featured SOLID Brazilian rosewood headstocks, with upgraded hardware, like the Kluson Deluxe tuners as on this example. This guitar is 100% original and in excellent vintage condition. The neck is laser straight, and the frets are in excellent condition. The lipstick pickups sound amazing as should be expected. This guitar has been in storage for a very long time, and will need new strings, and maybe a little electronics cleaner in the switch and pots. I purchased it from the widow of the original owner, and she told me that this guitar had some stage time with Johnny Cash, though I have no proof of that. The original sunburst finish is in great condition, with no major scratches, though there is some cracking in the finish around the tailpiece area, and a little bit on the edge by the binding near the input jack plate (look at the last to pics of closeups of these areas). Other than that, the guitar looks to have had very little use its entire life. When I got it, it came in a crappy chipboard acoustic case, and I had this really nice vintage Yamaha hard case laying around that fits the guitar like it was made for it, so thats what the guitar comes with!!! These guitars are extremely rare, and even more so, 100% complete examples with the original pickguard, and headstock label, I would say this is the ONLY one for sale in the world at this time!!!
