The Artist 2622 features a double-cutaway mahogany body with a bound carved maple top mated to a set maple neck with a 22 "Velvetouch" frets on a bound ebony board. It has the "Velvetune" worm gear machines with a unique thumb wheel to adjust the friction, a brass nut, and the "Gibraltar" tailpiece. All hardware gold plated with normal wear for its age. Pick ups are original Ibanez "Super 80" with an onboard 3 band active EQ incorporating a master volume, boost, bass, midrange, treble, 3 position pick up selector, and an EQ in/out selector. Electronics all work as they should.The top looks excellent however this was a players guitar with moderate to heavy playing wear on the backside and lower bout as illustrated in the photos.The action is set low with minimal fret wear and it plays as well as it's American counterpart that it was designed after.
