About This Listing

This lovely guitar was relic'd Mexican Fender '72 Re-issue Thinline Telecaster by Dax&Co Custom Shop. They do great great work. Jeff has been super happy with this guitar.

It's all original, except for the Dax relic'd finish. The serial number has been removed from the back of the headstock and penciled onto the neck end inside the neck block.

The fretboard edges have been hand rolled, and the fret ends dressed for a smooth, comfortable, worn in feel. The finish has been removed from the back of the neck for faster play. It has a three way selector as it would if it were a '72.

The u-shaped neck and 7.5" radius feels great in the hand and has no fret wear.

The guitar sounds and plays fantastic. It is very light and resonant and has all of the Tele twang you can handle. This feels as good as or maybe even better than any Fender custom shop relic.  This is Jeff's and it's a tough one to put in the sale.

This guitar will ship in a soft gig bag.

Buyer pays shipping. Please ask questions if you have them. This will come with a certificate of authenticity signed by Jeff Tweedy stating that yes, this belonged to him.
