Extremely rare top of the line dreadnought made by LGC of California, this guitar is comparable to the better dreadnoughts by Collings and Santa Cruz, but with fancier details (and costing thousands less). In terms of its acoustic value this is a guitar worth well over twice what I'm asking--and if it had better name recognition, would cost that.
Pictures speak for themselves--exquisite details throughout: Herringbone binding; abalone and wood Tree of Life inlay not only on both the headstock and ebony fretboard; abalone rosette and fancy tie block; volute (diamond) headstock join; wood inlay on back of neck; movable saddles; Grover tuner
All solid wood: Highly figured Sitka top; Indian rosewood back and sides, ebony fretboard, mahogany neck.
Sound: Lush but focused and, for want of a better way to put it, extremely pretty/musical; clear piano-like articulation similar to that of pre-war Martin D-28s. Great sustain; good volume.
