Here we have a Martin 000-MMV - a poor man's 000-28 & OMJM hybrid. Made in Nazareth, Pennsylvania USA, it has a solid spruce top, solid rosewood back and sides, and this model has an ebony fingerboard and bridge. Newer 000-MMV models have richlite in place of ebony, so make sure you get a genuine wood product for your fingerboard and bridge with this model.
This is a Guitar Center special run since 2005. It provides an incredible value for an all-solid wood USA-made Martin.
So, how does this model differ from the 000-28? From my research, this guitar has a longer scale length (25.4" vs 24.9") and bracing from the 15 series instead of the 28 series. Aside from that, the two models bear the same woods and looks.
This particular guitar is in very good condition, but has been played. There are minor surface scratches from strumming, a couple pen-head sized dings, playwear on the back of the neck, and a finish issue marked in the photo next the pick. There are no structural issues with this guitar. It plays and sounds fantastic!
It has a Fishman piezo pickup installed. The battery compartment can be seen in the photo next to the serial number. The jack is located in the endpin. I will also include a set of Elixir 12-53 Light acoustic strings.
Comes with original hardshell Martin case in functioning but used condition.
