Gibson LPX Les Paul X Electric Guitar
This is one of six made!!!! Don't miss out on this slice of modern history!!!
Create all your sounds within the Gibson Les Paul X aka the "LPX" using triple active pickups, distortion, amps, multiple delays, compressor, chorus, reverb, octave, flanger, wah, tremolo, looper, ultra-flexible EQ, and more. When you take your guitar from stage to studio, your customized, signature sounds travel with you-no pedalboard required.
The body is made from solid Grade-A mahogany (routed to receive the LPX's extensive internal electronics), and capped with a gorgeously figured Grade-AAA maple top finished in your choice of Honeyburst or Trans Black, both in high-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer. A one-piece, quarter-sawn Grade-A mahogany neck is carved in the popular SlimTaper profile, glued in with a mortis and tenon joint, and topped with a fingerboard of rich, brown Grade-A granadillo for superb tone and playability.
The effects include multiple types of distortion, amps, and cabinets along with compression, noise gates, dual delays (including reverse delay), individual 9-band parametric EQ for the magnetic and piezo pickups (with pickup mixer), signal path 9-band parametric EQ, and output 31-band master graphic EQ, a chorus/flanger, reverb, octave, wah, tremolo, looper, and Gibson's exclusive Digital Varitone "morphable" user-programmable tone control.
All the familiar Gibson sonic depth, resonance, and sustain is transmitted through three revolutionary new takes on traditional magnetic pickups along with a piezo-loaded Tune-o-matic bridge for acoustic-like sounds. The LPX neck and bridge pickups are made with Alnico V and Alnico II magnets respectively, while the LPX middle pickup carries a ceramic magnet. All offer unprecedented power and fidelity and the ability to capture an astounding range of humbucker and single-coil tones.
Just by connecting the standard 1/4" output jack to a standard guitar amplifier you can already imagine the sonic possibilities. Alternatively, split your output through a stereo splitter cable inserted into the jack to broaden your horizons or incorporate the bevy of accessories included with the LPX to go beyond what any traditional guitar can do. When leashed to its G Node interface (included), the LPX can partner with Mac and Windows computers via USB 2.0 providing options from driving sophisticated computer-based plug-ins to processing each string individually through separate hex outputs (with advanced technology that minimizes crosstalk). For recording or playing live with a laptop, the range of possibilities is astounding and is further enhanced with software including Ableton Live 8 Gibson Studio Edition and Native Instruments' Guitar Rig 4 (both of which are included as free downloads with every LPX guitar), as well as LPX editing software. Use these programs to record your latest ideas, access hundreds of different guitar effects and amplifiers, create backing tracks, tweak patches, store patch sets, and much more.
