After contacting EKO corporation Italy we have learned that this volume pedal was included as an accessory when purchasing a 200 or 400 series amplifier in 1959. best guess was the 218 studio amp by EKO.
EKO is not aware of any other wooden volume pedal still in existence today.
The condition of this volume pedal is remarkable.
It is technically new old stock may have been used with a floor model 1959 to 1960
This pedal was obtained at the estate sale for Best Music Co. in Oakland Ca. this item sat in storage from the late 1950s to 2016. I spoke to the owner before listing this item.
