Warwick Thumb 4-String 2006 Dirty Blonde
This 2006 Warwick Thumb Bolt-On Dirty Blonde was built in 2006 as part of a limited edition run of only 300 basses. The body is ash, and it has a birdseye poplar top with a natural finish. The neck is flamed maple, and it features a tigerstripe ebony fretboard with bird inlays and 24 jumbo bronze frets. It has an MEC P/TJ active pickup combination. There are three knobs: stacked volume and balance, mid, and stacked treble and bass. The stacked controls are also push/pull knobs that'll let you bypass the active preamp. Black hardware and a brass nut The back of the headstock is hand-signed by Warwick founder Hans Peter-Wilfer. It comes with a very nice Warwick gig bag (best I've ever seen), and the Warwick tool kit.
There are a few very small dents on the bass, but otherwise it is in fantastic condition.
I'm not a Warwick guy, but I wanted to give one a try. This bass is as well built as any I have ever played (my main basses are Alembics). The attention to detail and the intelligence in design is unsurpassed. This bass looks, sounds, and plays great. I'm offering it up for sale because I prefer Alembic's Q filter tone control over the Warwick. That's it, a matter of preference.
Please contact me with any questions. I am offering a 7 day return policy on this bass (from date of receipt of bass, buyer pays return shipping). Payment expected at time of sale. Sales is for lower 48 of USA only. No International or Alaska/Hawaii sales.
