Approx. 1936 Cromwell G4 archtop; sunburst finish Spruce top, Mahogany neck, back & sides, Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard.
One of the other-branded instruments made by Gibson during the Great Depression, Cromwell was sold through the Continental Music Company in Chicago. These guitars were similar in construction and made on the same production lines, but none had the adjustable truss rod found on all Gibson guitars after 1921.
Woody organic tone, large V-profile neck, great vintage vibe and patina, plays well with just a bit of relief on the fingerboard. Includes newer hardshell case.
