About This Listing

  • Unique in almost every respect! VERY unusual & attractive neck inlays, 28" scale neck and 12" head diameter! Not surprisingly, there are age-related issues. PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY and examine all pictures - this instrument (ALTHOUGH REASONABLY PLAYABLE) is offered 'as-is', AND IN NEED OF PROPER RESTORATION. ***PLEASE REVIEW LISTING AND EXAMINE PICS FOR DETAIL.

What I see...

1) fingerboard has numerous shrink hairlines. Think it can be resolved by filler rather than replacement. All inlays are intact!

2) End of dowel stick is split (last pic) Not sure what you want to do with this although the neck is well secured.

3) Five missing tension rods. I have no banjo parts on hand.

4) 12" drum head installed - seems to work OK but obviously not the best choice. The original wire hoop for the destroyed calfskin head is included

5) looks like a replacement 5th string tuner - 'too new' appearance
PLEASE REVIEW LISTING AND EXAMINE PICS FOR DETAIL.
