Here is a PRS Modern Eagle. This is a PHENOMENAL PRS with an all-Brazilian Rosewood neck. Unlike $10,000 Gibson R9 Les Pauls that only have a BRW fretboard, the entire neck of this guitar is made of the highly-desired tonewood. This kind of wood is simply unobtainable today due to the
CITES restrictions. The Brazilian rosewood neck must be felt to be believed.
This gorgeous guitar has what PRS calls a "near Private Stock" top and is
finished in the highly-coveted Faded Blue Jean finish. The neck is the very
comfortable "Wide-Fat" carve, which is PRS' closest carve to the 59 Les
Paul contour. The guitar is all-stock, with locking tuners and
their awesome RP pickups. The tone knob pulls up to split the
coils. The BRW neck almost has a piano-like tone, and the guitar sounds
great...a nice warm, vintage tone. This Modern Eagle is the original issue, not one of the NOS models the company released last year.
The guitar is 100%
original, and is in nice shape. Just a bit of play wear, and some small scratches and dings. The finish has faded and yellowed a bit. But as you can see, she's still a GORGEOUS instrument. Includes the hardshell case and paperwork. If you're
looking for a highly collectible PRS in very nice condition, look no
further. I'm asking $5000 for this iconic PRS. I'd prefer a cash sale,
but I would consider a nice Ernie Ball EVH, or a black and white
Charvel EVH as partial trade.
