Overview
In the early '60s, Guild began an attempt to break into the growing electric guitar market. The Starfire III (along with the Starfire I and II) represent the first wave of Guild electric archtops and debuted in 1960. Though Guild archtops were embraced by some players, they are not nearly as collectible as their Gibson equivalents.
