Vintage TASCAM Portastudio 488 cassette multitrack recorder and mixer. Made in Japan.

The belt has been replaced. Testing was limited to making a basic recording and playing it back. The listing video demonstrates playback of that recording.

This was a basic personal test, not a professional inspection or comprehensive evaluation. All eight tracks, mixer channels, inputs, outputs, routing options, and other functions have not been individually verified. No professional calibration has been performed.
