The Pisgah Cherry Possum banjo is a very good old time banjo with a 'woody' tone. Made by hand in Asheville, North Carolina. The Possum, which features a persimmon tone ring, gives a warm rich tone without being overpowering. Great for jams, performing, or just sitting at home and picking in your living room or porch, this is a great all around banjo for any occasion.

What makes it unique:

12" cherry rim with a persimmon tone ring. The cherry rim, walnut rim cap and persimmon tone ring give the Possum its warm, woody old time voice.

Scooped persimmon fingerboard. An S scooped persimmon fingerboard with a quilted star inlay, set on a short scale cherry neck.

Aged brass hardware made in USA. Hardware by Balsam Banjoworks, with a Pisgah Frailing Notch Tension Hoop and a No Knot Tailpiece.

Comes with a padded Pisgah gig bag.
