Elysia Xmax Qube Series Stereo Master Bus Compressor

Up for sale is my Elysia XMAX Masterbus Processor in a desktop Qube chassis (Serial No. 000015).

Important Condition Note: The XMAX 500 series module is from 2025 and is in impeccable condition. The faceplate and internal boards are pristine. The desktop chassis is an original Elysia Qube chassis (originally from an Xpressor Qube, but Elysia uses the exact same universal chassis for all their Qube models). The chassis has a few very minor cosmetic dents/scuffs on the outer edges.

The XMAX is the ultimate tool for the masterbus, utilizing internal Mid/Side (M/S) encoding to give you precise multiband control over your dynamics, tone, and stereo image without compromising the integrity of your mix.

Key Features:

• Class-A M/S Processing: A fully discrete Class-A signal path that splits your mix into Low, Mid, and Side bands for independent processing.
• Variable Crossover (x-freq): Sweepable crossover (40Hz to 470Hz) between the Low and Mid bands allows you to dial in exactly how your sub and bass frequencies trigger compression.
• VariLink: Go from fully independent band compression to 100% linked stereo VCA-style behavior.
• Lowmo (Mono Maker): A switchable 12dB/octave high-pass filter (below 150Hz) applied exclusively to the Side band before compression, tightening up stereo bass and fixing phase issues.
• Punch Mode: Increases the default 1:1.45 ratio to 1:2.55 for more aggressive compression on drums or bass.
• Auto Fast Attack: All bands feature a musical 10ms attack, but if gain reduction exceeds 8dB, the attack automatically speeds up to catch fast, loud transients without distortion.
• Tone Control: A smooth, musical high-shelf EQ (+/- 8dB) at the end of the chain to add air or tame harshness.
• Soft Clip Limiter: A tape-style analog saturation circuit that rounds off peaks rather than brickwalling them, allowing you to drive your A/D converters hotter without clipping.
