The Telstar is a boutique, all-tube amplifier, handcrafted in the USA, distinguished by an unusual combination of two different power tubes: a 5881 (6L6 type) and an EL84, mounted together in a Class A push-pull circuit. Delivering approximately 17 watts, it offers a unique tonal palette, blending the full, powerful character of vintage American amps with the attack and more biting harmonics of British amplifiers. Its single channel features a volume control, a tone control, an all-tube spring reverb, and two switches: Lean/Lush to tighten or thicken the bass, and 53/58 to shift from a 1950s American tone to a more aggressive sound reminiscent of early British amps. Its built-in attenuator allows the power to be reduced to almost zero, making it suitable for home, studio, or rehearsal use. Wired point-to-point with high-end components, it is equipped with a 12-inch Carr Valiant speaker. The Telstar doesn't simply copy a Fender or a Vox: it combines their influences to produce a rich, dynamic and highly responsive playing sound, particularly suited to blues, vintage rock and expressive overdrives.
