This is the new MIDI controller from Akuto Studio - not yet available for sale at retailers, or anywhere else for that matter without a very long wait while the company works through the existing backlog of unfulfilled orders from 2023 onwards. This unit is from the very first Spring 2026 batch, and as far as I'm aware Akuto hasn't made any more since then (with no certainty on when a next batch will be available). For context, I joined the Indiegogo campaign in 2023, and my unit arrived three years later. My professional music needs have changed in that intervening time and I am happy for this Chord Machine to find a new home with someone who will give it the full appreciation it deserves!

The Akuto Chord Machine is a groundbreaking new MIDI controller with three rows of keys, designed to simplify harmony and chord creation for musicians. It is a premium piece of gear for your studio. The Chord Machine's keys can be used as a simple and intuitive way to form chords (supported by the touchscreen on the left side of the device), or they can also be played like the keys of a piano or even a harmonica. The unit has multiple modes, all of which can be used with the touchscreen – the Chord Machine even allows you to 'strum' your MIDI chords like a classic Omnichord. This is a highly anticipated new tool for creatives, made to an exceedingly high standard of quality. Winner of the Swiss Design Award 2025.
