The sE Electronics FluxCore Series FCA1 Ultra-HiZ Active DI is a professional direct box engineered for instruments that demand the highest possible input impedance. Its switchable Ultra-HiZ input offers up to 10 Mohms of input impedance, preserving the natural tone, dynamics, and full frequency response of passive guitar pickups, piezo-equipped instruments, and other high-impedance sources. Selectable impedance settings of 10 Mohms, 100 kohms, and 10 kohms allow the input characteristics to be matched to virtually any instrument or application.

To further maximize signal quality, the FCA1 features an integrated DYNAMITE gain boost delivering 15 dB or 30 dB of ultra-clean gain directly at the source. By increasing the signal level before long cable runs or electrically noisy environments, the FCA1 helps preserve every nuance of your performance from instrument to mixing console.

At the heart of the FluxCore Series is a custom-designed, shielded heavy-duty transformer providing galvanic isolation, delivering exceptional headroom, low distortion, and outstanding noise rejection. Together with the innovative on+ Ground Lift circuitry, hum, ground loops, and radio-frequency interference are effectively minimized, ensuring clean, transparent audio in even the most challenging live and studio environments.

A switchable attenuation pad handles high-output sources such as guitar and bass amplifiers without distortion, while the custom transformer maintains exceptional headroom and signal integrity under demanding conditions.

Designed with versatility in mind, the FCA1 offers a wide range of mounting options. A non-slip mounting pad is included for desktop and studio use, hook-and-loop pads allow secure installation on pedalboards and gig racks, and up to four units can be mounted in a single 1U rack space using the supplied mounting screws. Its stackable design also makes multi-channel stage setups neat, secure, and easy to configure.

Its compact footprint and heavy-gauge steel construction make the FCA1 ideal for professional stage, studio, and touring applications. The robust all-metal design provides exceptional durability, while the discreet matte-black stealth finish blends seamlessly into any stage, studio, or pedalboard setup. Front and rear +48 V status LEDs provide instant phantom power indication from either side.
