1997 Gibson Early J-45. T
Made in the Bozeman factory under master luthier Ren Ferguson, these are J-45's that have similar specs and bracing to an early 50's J-45. Though not quite as old as the vintage guitars they were re-creating, this guitar is almost vintage in it's own right coming up on it's 30th birthday!
Features a big, fat neck with a soft V profile. It feels amazing and really fills up the palm in a comfortable way. Plays great in every position.
Tone is fantastic. It has that super woody tone that Gibson Acoustics are known for, but projects more like a Martin, nice and loud. Great for sitting in the mix but can also hold it's own in a Bluegrass jam.
Cosmetically it is very clean with few signs of light cosmetic wear. Purchased from the original owner who took great care of it. The pick guard was replaced as the original had started lifting.
Comes with the original hard shell case as well as the original Gibson Gold Warranty paperwork that came with the guitar when it was purchased new.
