Empirical Labs EL7x Fatso Jr and its EL-FTC Threshold Controller, from my personal studio, in [excellent / very good] condition. Both have been [studio-only, never gigged], in a smoke-free room. Fully tested and working: both channels, every Warmth setting, the Tranny circuit, all compressor modes, and the EL-FTC.

Less that a year old. I'm only selling because I've reorganized my mix bus around other gear, and this has turned into a duplicate. It’s still hooked up but can provide more pictures upon serious buyer request.

The Fatso is one of the most-used color boxes around. It gives digital sources the analog character of tape, tubes and transformers:

• Warmth: tape-style high-frequency smoothing that tames harsh transients without killing the energy. It's excellent on bright drum machines, samples and digital synths.
• Tranny: transformer-style saturation that adds low-end weight and harmonic density.
• Four compressor modes: Track, Buss, Spank and Eleven, from gentle glue up to all-out smashing.
• Two channels that link for stereo: use it on a drum bus or 2-bus, or as two mono processors.
• Metering: 0VU and Pinned indicators for gain staging, plus gain reduction LEDs.

The EL-FTC Threshold Controller plugs into the Fatso's rear-panel sidechain inserts, with nothing to modify. It gives you finer control over how much saturation versus compression the Fatso applies, which makes it much easier to dial in exactly the amount of color you want. It sells new for around $180–200, and you get it here with the Fatso.
