Fun Fact 🎹

The original Roland TR-606 Drumatix debuted in 1981 as the companion to the now-legendary TB-303 Bass Line. Both were originally marketed as practice companions for musicians who needed automated rhythm and bass accompaniment. Commercially unsuccessful at first, these little silver boxes eventually found their way into the hands of electronic music pioneers and helped shape the sound of acid house, electro, and techno. Not bad for machines originally designed to help guitarists practice!
