Original hardshell case for a 1978 Gibson Les Paul - the brown tolex case with red plush interior that shipped with late-'70s Les Paul Customs. Case only; no guitar included.

Structurally sound and fully usable: all latches and hinges present and working, handle intact, accessory compartment with lid, red plush interior is bright with only minor wear spots. Cleaned inside and out and aired in the sun before listing.

See photos for imperfections: tear in the tolex at the rim next to one hinge with wood showing; chips and edge wear at the headstock end; scratches and scuffs on the exterior consistent with age; tarnish on the hardware; the lid stay strap is disconnected but can easily be reattached. It also has a musty smell from storage.
