Now available, a 2019 Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul/SG Standard ‘61 reissue.
This is a nice example of a modern CS SG reissue, paying close homage to the first year of the updated Les Paul shape, which is known today as the SG. Features include a rosewood fingerboard, mahogany body and neck, Custombucker pickups, and an ABR-1 bridge with stop bar tailpiece.
The guitar remains in good overall shape with no changes, and no cracks or repairs. On the back there are some small areas of discolouration in the wood, resulting in a few small areas of pitting in the lacquer. Otherwise there are a few dings here or there as well.
Overall, this is a fine example of a Custom Shop Gibson SG that plays effortlessely with a great feeling neck.
Recently setup and strung with 10-46 strings, includes its original Gibson case and tags.
