ALTEC LANSING 612C Monitor with UREI 828 Crossover (604 Duplex)
Our users rate Reverb
You don’t come across something this cool every day! A pair of Altec Lansing 612C Monitor Speakers with UREI Model 828 Crossovers is up for sale.
The 612C Monitor has been used for playback monitoring in legendary recording studios such as Abbey Road, Electric Lady, Capitol, and many many more. You name it! And this particular pair originally came from MGM Studios.
Their sound quality is legendary, and these speakers sound absolutely marvelous. They deliver an incredible groove with tons of detail, yet never sound fatiguing. You’ll enjoy a listening experience that makes you feel like you’re right in the studio monitoring a playback session. They feature 604-8G Duplex drivers with 104 dB sensitivity and 40w handling.
These speakers have been nicely refinished in Altec's period-correct gray. This color is particularly interesting because, although technically gray, it can take on a greenish hue depending on the lighting, as shown in the pictures. The original grille cloth has only a few minor blemishes (as pictured), but remains in very good condition. Fresh gaskets.
