Up for sale is a stellar Gibson J-45 Standard. It’s an incredible acoustic, but I need to clear some space and free up funds for another gear purchase.

This guitar has been perfectly dialed in for the acoustic purist. As a deliberate tonal upgrade, the factory undersaddle pickup and internal battery system were cleanly removed. I did this specifically to improve the sound quality—without that squishy undersaddle pickup in the way, the factory saddle now makes direct wood-to-wood contact with the bridge. This simple change drastically opened up the natural acoustic resonance, volume, and that classic Gibson low-end thump.

As a huge bonus, with the old factory system completely out of the way, the guitar is now a perfect blank canvas. It is ready to receive a higher-end electronics upgrade like a passive K&K Pure Mini or any other premium pickup system of your choice, without any leftover clutter inside the body. Or you can just enjoy the guitar acoustically.

I also upgraded the bridge pins to a tailored mixed set (four custom wooden, two bone) that really balances out the EQ across the strings. The label inside the soundhole confirms the model as a Style J-45 STANDARD with the serial number 23553178.

Cosmetically, the guitar is in fantastic shape. There is one very scuff mark on the lower left bout that has been there since I bought it. It is hardly noticeable, but I want to ensure no surprises.

Includes the original Gibson hardshell case.
