Offered is a collector level example of the classic Sumo Andromeda Class AB power amplifier properly restored by certified audio technician with over 50 years of bench experience.
It was completely disassembled, cleaned with both power supply and driver board caps repopulated with fresh higher capacitance filter parts where appropriate. All new higher speed, higher current bridge rectifiers were also installed. Old thermal compound replaced throughout.
DC offset is well below + or - 10mV in either channel. Idle bias is spot on. No noises or distortion measured or audible.
Both channels clip well above 215 WRMS into 8 ohm loads at 117VAC line. Over 380 WRMS into 4.
Amplifier needs nothing other than a new set of ears. It is very smooth in the midrange. A real sense of dynamic control and a steel fisted grip in the lower registers makes this a great addition to any serious system.
It will be well protected, double boxed, insured and shipped UPS ground to any CONUS address for a flat rate of $99
