DV Mark Triple 6 120 Watt Valve Head

Designed for hard rock and metal, the DV Mark Triple 6 is a compact 120-watt all-valve amplifier head with three fully independent channels. Its high-gain channels deliver saturated distortion with pronounced attack, bass response and treble clarity, while Channel 1 provides clean headroom and warm, bluesy breakup at higher gain settings.

The Triple 6 uses an unusual valve configuration comprising two KT88 power valves and ECC83 (12AX7) valves. Channel 1 is driven by one-and-a-half ECC83 valves, while Channels 2 and 3 use three ECC83 valves for increased gain. Channel 2 moves directly into high-gain territory, while Channel 3 offers slightly reduced midrange emphasis, additional gain and compression for lead playing.

Each channel has its own independent Bass, Middle, Treble, Presence, Gain and Master controls, with no shared tone controls between channels. A 0 dB/-6 dB input pad accommodates standard and active pickups.

The metal-mesh chassis is approximately 60% smaller than many conventional amplifier heads and weighs 10 kg (22 lb). A built-in fan runs continuously to assist with valve cooling.
