dbx 900A frame rack with nine dbx 903 compressor modules & xlr I/O. Plz read & see pix.

A few years back I stumbled on a rack of old school dbx 900 stuff. I had heard of it but never heard how they sounded. I'm a big dbx 160x fan, so I became really enamored with the stuff... especially the 903 comps.

Since then, I went down the rabbit hole of all rabbit holes, acquiring much 900 gear as I could... though it was kind of love hate because I discovered a lot of it had been neglected... was just old and kind of trashed out… mismatched poorly stored, etc. but these are the best of the best I acquired.

This is a rack of NINE all matching DBX 903 compressors in a dbx 900A frame rack. The sound profile is somewhat like a dbx 160 A/X/XT, which was the circuit they emulated with these modules. Killer on drums!

The 900A FRAME rack & all modules power on and pass signal i/o and have no issues. All 903's are in pretty good cosmetic condition as well

The rack is also in relatively good condition for its age and gets the job done.

It gets better: Included are custom made labeled XLRM & XLRF pigtails needed to connect to the barrier strips of these units for signal I/O.

It’s really great stuff… highly underrated cuz dbx lost the 900 series vs. 500 series format wars back in the day. I’ve used quite a bit of this gear in my drum studio with great results, but now I’m forced to hugely downsize/consolidate… so all of it is on the block. There will 2 more racks like this coming soon in other postings… please check my other items.

PRICING:

A fair price for a 903 in good working & physical condition (like these) is $150-200. There are 9 of these here: Let’s say $150 x 9 = $1350

You can buy one of the 900A frames in good shape by themselves for around $250

$1350 + $300 = $1600

I will sell the whole package for half of that price at $799… roughly $183 a channel for matching vintage dbx compressors.

Please no inquires to break up this set.

Shipping will be a flat $55 to anywhere in the lower 48. I never markup shipping and, “handling”… Boo. It’s just that this package is heavy AND bulky and I want to make sure it arrives safely

I pack well & ship fast!
