Up for sale is a PDP Concept Series Maple 14x5" Snare Drum in Natural with wood hoops.

The snare is used but remains in good, clean cosmetic and playing condition.

This particular example is equipped with wood hoops rather than traditional metal hoops, giving the drum a distinctive appearance and contributing to its warm, woody character.

The main condition issue to note is that the drum is missing one of the tension rods/lug fasteners on the bottom hoop. Despite the missing piece, the bottom hoop remains securely in place, and we have played and tested the drum with no issues affecting its function, playability, or tone.

Please review the photos closely for the exact condition and location of the missing hardware.

The snare also includes a drop-in tambourine accessory and a Mapex drum cover.

About This Model

The PDP Concept Series Maple line offers many of the design ideas associated with DW/PDP drums in a more accessible package.

This 14x5" snare uses a maple shell, giving it a versatile tonal character with a nice combination of warmth, attack, and sensitivity.

What really distinguishes this particular drum is its set of wood hoops. Compared with conventional metal hoops, wood hoops can provide a different feel and character, with a warmer attack and a particularly satisfying sound on rimshots and cross-stick playing.

The Natural finish complements the wood hoops nicely and gives the entire drum a clean, organic appearance.

At 14x5", it's also a versatile snare size that can work well across rock, pop, funk, country, worship, studio work, and a wide variety of other styles.
