1989 Gibson Les Paul Custom
Awesome 1989 Les Paul custom. Has been refretted but other than that looks to be all original. This has the Bill Lawrence circuit board pickups. The neck tone pot has been replaced. there are no breaks or repairs to the wood. The neck is straight and the truss rod works. The pickup rings are cracked. the truss rod cover is cracked. There are alot of clear coat scratches all over in brighter light, but the guitar looks pretty clean for its age at a distance. the neck has a ding on the back. The binding is cracked at the fret ends. Crazing in the clear coat on the front of the headstock can be seen in brighter light. This guitar weighs 9.5 lb, certainly on the lighter end of the spectrum for a Les Paul custom. I love the sound of this guitar. It sounds more like a late 60’s early 70’s Les Paul. Bright and woody. This makes the amp overdrive with a little more attitude. Lots of fun. Although this guitar is in good shape, it’s old and it’s used and everybody’s opinion is different about what constitutes a “clean guitar” or a “well set up guitar“. Because of this I’m not taking returns on this instrument or even partial returns. Please look elsewhere if you’re not sure about buying this item, it probably won’t work out for you! Guitar center has better, more cheaper-er guitars you can try before you buy and still return for full money back after 45 days! I’m not guitar center. That being said (whew lol) if you know what you’re looking for this guitar won’t disappoint. I love to help with questions and even chat guitars! Hit me up!!
