Personal Thoughts:
The first thing you notice is the back. The quilted maple is properly wild, with deep, rippling figure running through the Three Tone burst, and the sunburst on the spruce top is rich and even without being showy. It is a J-200 Mini, so the body is more compact than a full-size jumbo, but it carries the J-200 cues in full: the moustache bridge, the floral tortoiseshell pickguard, the abalone rosette and the bound ebony board.

The bound headstock with its abalone script and ornament is a lovely detail, and the Kluson-style tuners with cream buttons suit the whole look. Everything is cohesive and very much in the Custom Shop spirit, a guitar that looks the part from every angle in the case.

The neck is a mahogany profile with a clean nitrocellulose finish, so it feels smooth and unfussy under the hand. The smaller body makes it noticeably more comfortable to sit with than a jumbo, which is a real plus for anyone who wants J-200 character without the bulk.

In voice terms, expect the warm, rounded and open character the J-200 style is known for, with a more focused and intimate delivery from the smaller body. It should suit strumming and fingerstyle equally, and it is a guitar that will sit nicely in a collection as both a player and a showpiece.

Condition Report:
Excellent condition. The nitrocellulose gloss finish is bright and clean across the top, back and neck, with the quilted maple looking superb. The binding, abalone, pickguard, bridge and hardware are all tidy and complete. Any marks are very light handling signs and nothing distracting. It plays and presents as a well-kept 2007 Custom Shop J-200 Mini.
